Amd’s partners got notice about RV770 Chips delay

AMD has just a memo of its technology partners, the details of the current progress in the coming RV770 graphics chips in the family. According to the memo, the chip manufacturer will release the RV770-powered graphics cards in late Q2, which means that they will be ready for the Computex show begins.
The RV770 chips replace the RV670 offer on the high-end market. The exact technical specifications are not yet known, but it is rumored that the RV770 graphics chip will come with up to 32 processors and 640 stream texture units’ card / ROPs.
The chip will operate at frequencies that will not exceed 1 GHz, but they will be considerably higher than the previous RV670 graphics cores. The chip of the yield rate is as much as 71%, according to the leaked specification, the next cards with GRRD5 memory.

Given that the R700 family is based on the R600 architecture with its multi-GPU orientation, it is assumable that the chip manufacturer will also focus on the forthcoming chips' multicore part.
When the chips are finally available, they will be commercially known as the Radeon 4000 HD.
