Mini N95, Nokia’s smallest N-series

Nokia success to clone the N95 to the “MM95”, probably the “MM” means Mini Mini (only my joke). This new species Called "Leady MM95" (standing for "mini mini 95", could be), the new phone weighs is 72 grams and dimension 76.1 x 41 x 17.8 mm - still slightly bulky. The device looks just like N95, with its two sliding form factor and all, so that producers who have been careful with all the details.

Because this is way smaller than the real N95, in MM95 comes with a "reduced functionality" too. For example, the screen is 2.2 inches with 260K colors and 320 x 240 pixels and the camera is only one with VGA video recording.

Other specifications that Barcelona hosts as the N95 sight offers are: dual band GSM connectivity (900 / 1800 MHz - so that they can not work in North America), Bluetooth, FM radio, WAP browser, e-book reader, video and music players, games, stopwatch, to do list, calendar, alarm, calculator and 512MB memory.

Overall, this little MM95 is quite genuine about unoriginal device and it can definitely go towards "ever-funny Nokia N95 clone" title. We wait for other players to make sure, though - and we know we will not wait in vain because copycatting has become a truly popular activity lately when it comes to mobile phones.

N95 china edition

Ever wanted a N95 as un-evolved that it could not even be used as a mobile phone? No? I am not. Yet there is a new device that bears the N-series handset named. It works on the 88 and 108 MHz frequencies, and we are 99.99% sure that it comes from China, the country of copycat products.

Those 88 and 108 MHz frequencies are listed FM bands, and that is because the new N95 - Asaki N95, to be precise - is an FM radio in one complete package, with a headphone. Nothing is poor with this device, the fact that the thing looks like a Nokia N95 phone. And, even worse, its "window" (actually just a sticker) shows a Windows Mobile interface - probably the nightmare of every N-series fan.

with any luck there will never be a Nokia handset Windows Mobile, even if Microsoft sure wish so, as the company said some time ago that the interest in a cooperation with the Finnish producer. Now, I have extremely nothing against WM (I actually like it), nor will I compare between the subjective and Symbian. But a Nokia mobile phone with Microsoft's OS is precisely what should not be a Nokia. It's just an iMac with Windows Vista. Even though this can be done, but you get the idea.

Back to the N95 radio wonder - what funny and not funny at the same time - is that there is no Asaki company for the production of FM radio, at least that Google not aware of this.
