Smaller model from the SB series

You could say that there is no such thing as a cheap LCD TV comes from one of the most famous names in the industry, and you would be absolutely right. But even big players make the roll, from time to time various models targeting especially the people on a budget and it is also the case with Sharp, who has just announced that it is extending the SB family with three new models, LC - 52SB55U, LC - 46SB54U and LC-42SB45U.
The LCD displays described by Sharp as the "beginning" and objectives, according to Bruce Tripido, marketing VP Entertainment Products Division, Sharp, "a broader audience, providing an affordable yet high quality alternative for consumers". From $ 2299.99 and down to $ 1399.99 (LC-42SB45U), the new TVs are not even that expensive, but they are not just much cheaper than some of the more advanced products from Sharp.
But are they worth so much? As you've probably guessed just by looking at their names, SB series is available in 52 - 46 - and 42-inch screen size units, all of which feature Full HD 1080p (1920 x 1080 resolution), and is cased in a glossy piano - black bezel. Moreover, the devices feature Sharp's Spectral Contrast engine for deep blacks and crisp images, as well as a fairly OK pixel response time of 6ms (6.5ms on the LC-42SB45U).
As far as connectivity goes, the sets come fully equipped with built-in ATSC / QAM / NTSC tuners and several other inputs, including four HDMI contacts on the LC-52SB55U, two on the LC-46SB54U and three on the LC-42SB45U, and two HD component terminals in each. Much the same way as most other similar products on the market, all models are equipped with a dedicated PC input so that TV can also function as a computer screen.
As you can see the features and specifications that these three models are quite interesting and they can be a very good choice for those who want to go HD without blowing too much money in the process, especially since their price tags are bound to be even lower in the future.
