Western Digital unveils new My Book Essential storage solutions

Following the introduction of the new 640 GB, 2.5-inch hard drives for laptops and the new, redesigned My Passport portable hard drives, in Lake Forest, California-based supplier of storage products, introduced its new smaller My Book Essential and My Book external hard drive Desktop Mack.
As with the new My Passport Elite series, the new My Book family equipped with the latest operating WD Smart-Ware software and hardware based encryption solution. These functions are mainly to provide users with a secure, remote storage alternatives to similar products on the market.
