YouTube video helps man safely deliver his son into this world

Written by IT News on 3:57 AM

They wonder if social media never understand surprise even the most skeptical of us. In a recent example, a man has helped to deliver a baby in the world with an instructional video online, on the famous video-sharing website YouTube. A British engineer from Redruth, Cornwall, and son spent his childhood in the world on his own after learning how to do it from a simple video uploaded on YouTube. While his wife spent much time at work, an ambulance could not reach its place in time, so people had to improvise and solve the situation as best they could.

Marc Stephens, the man in question, felt the need to see some instructional videos on to his wife, Jo, began to feel that it was time for the birth. The contractions increased in number with every minute, and the engineer just sit and started to look at some videos on how to deal with such situations.

"I googled how a baby, saw a couple of videos and seen swotted up. The footage gave me peace of mind. I think I would have put up, but look at the videos made it much easier," the man told the BBC.

"I woke up and realized that I had contractions every five minutes. Marc, I wake up and we called the midwife, but they were all so busy that they could not get around our house and told us to call an ambulance. But before they got it all started, "Mrs. Stephens, who had planned a home birth all the time, although not as suddenly and abruptly broken.”

"This is our fourth child today and our first, I have most of the time my wife's head, now I am not afraid to go to the business end. I was still on the phone to the midwife and told her that" this is the says the man that he felt little emotion - other than the good kind, of course - and said that his training as a member of the Royal Navy helped him much in this respect.

According to British media, after the birth was successful and safe 5lbs 5oz Gabriel was born, a few chickens to the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Treliske only to have the doctor give both mother and son managed health.

The free tool is a valuable way of getting back in control of your online behavior

For those of you who warn about the time at work surfing the web sites YouTube, MySpace and Facebook, there may still be hope. Some guys have invented innovative KeepMeOut site, a very useful tool if you want to avoid unpleasant situations with the head in the future. Apparently, the site is free to use and can lead to benefits for those who cannot stop watching video or update profiles during working hours.

The use of the service is not very complicated and can easily be mastered in minutes. First you must access the website and enter the URL of the page you want to be kept out of the specially designed KeepMeOut. You can select the time interval from the form. This function determines if the site will warn you to go to the page you just enter the URL in the box more than once, for example, in 60 minutes.

If you feel that you belong to a particular site, such as YouTube, you can simply set the time of 2 hours or more. So if YouTube actually have more than once in 60 minutes, a warning message appears informing you of this. The next step is where you need to succeed in the difficult task to fool the user. When you click "Submit" button, a new URL will be generated on the website of the instrument. You should copy this link and bookmarks in your browser, and rename it to YouTube or Facebook or another site that you want to stay away from.

The part to change the name is important, so that you forget the fact that it is time KeepMeOut "on the wire" between your computer and the server of the destination site. The first time you use the bookmark, the difference will not be visible. But if you try to visit again a little faster than the time you have allocated in step 1 and then a warning message that tells you to try again after a certain time.

The good part of this site is that you can create as many bookmarks as possible. If you want to restrict your access to different places in terms of time, you are free to do so. However, if you want access to those you've blocked, you can always do it directly by typing the URL into the address box or by replacing KeepMeOut bookmarks with the real. As they say on the website yesterday, "Reclaim Your Life!"

Leeds "Criminal" Finally Banned by YouTube

Written by IT News on 12:34 AM

Andre Kellett, a 23-year-old from Swarcliffe, was banned by Google's video sharing service YouTube after having posted numerous clips, most of them reportedly illegal. According to Web User News, the YouTube user uploaded no less than 80 videos on the website, one of them showing "Kellett being driven in a car at more than 140 mph."

What's interesting is that Andre Kellett said he's not guilty for posting the clips on YouTube because he was only "a bystander filming events" and he wasn't the main "actor" in the movies. However, the Leeds City Council offered even more examples of illegal clips, pointing to a video in which Kellett does not want to pay a taxi driver, Web User News added.

Commenting the YouTube user's actions, councilor Les Carter, chair of Safe Leeds, said that Andre Kellett could win the "dumbest criminal" contest in Leeds taking into consideration the clips he posted on YouTube. "In the last three years we have seen a 32 per cent reduction in crime in Leeds. If more criminals were as obliging, the city would be even safer," he commented according to the same source mentioned above.

This is not the first time when authorities in a certain city or country discover illegal activities after viewing YouTube clips. In the past, several people were identified and sent to police after videos showing them speeding and breaking the laws appeared on YouTube. However, in most cases, police officers could not take any action because they had no information concerning the date of the recordings as some countries have specific laws which prohibit them to issue a fine after more than 15 days since the driver was caught speeding.

Anyway, at this time, there are a lot of YouTube clips showing people breaking speed limits and flooring it. It's enough to type the right keyword and find them all.

Use Blackmagic for Uploading Video to Your iPod, YouTube

Written by IT News on 6:07 PM

By: Alex Vochin, Technology Editor

Despite the fact that it might be your first guess, the truth is that there is nothing even remotely linked to the likes of Lord Voldermort, Sauron or other fictional dark wizards of Blackmagic. No spells or dark enchantments used. It's simply the power of technology, which enables users to record video content from a variety of sources directly to a computer.

How can we know right from their titles, and Video Recorder SDI Video Recorder lets users capture of either analog video or SDI (SDI serial digital interface means if you were surprised that the deal with the acronym) with VHS, video-8, video cameras and more directly into the file format H.264, which is used in the iPod, iPhone, Apple TV and YouTube.

The device is also easy to use, since all you need to do is choose the specific device you want to capture Video Recorder and included software will automatically set the size and quality. On the other hand, if you want to transfer video to the user's device, you can always sign in the resolution, and speed of data transmission, which is necessary for your media files, as well as Video Recorder SDI will take care of all proportions.

Moreover, the video recording automatically, you can set a time limit, and she stops at a certain time.

I even easier if you want to download movies on YouTube, you can choose to auto segment files in 9 min segments, or if you want to put the captured video on the CD also can be selected at the stage of registration MB in size of the files.

Now, for some technology criteria. The standard version of the device design features of Blackmagic YUV Component, NTSC, PAL ans S-Video video inputs and stereo RCA consumer level audio inputs, while SDI Video Recorder equipped with 10 - bit video input and 8 - channel audio capabilities. Both versions support at 625/25 PAL and NTSC 525/29.97 SD resolution file formats, while the version of SDI is also compatible with SMPTE 292M, SMPTE 259M, SMPTE 296M, ITU-R BT.656 and ITU-R BT.601.

The best part is that the two devices are not even that expensive, as some 120 retail and $ 300 (in SDI version), but the truth is that that these things are not exactly recommended for all users: there is, at least, if not always crazy about downloading video players or their iPod or YouTube.

The Top Videos on YouTube in 2007

Written by IT News on 7:25 AM

Served for your personal amusement By: Vlad Constandes, SEO News Editor | softpedia.com

It’s not difficult to see why some people predicted that the end of the Internet will come via YouTube servers, the number of videos and even more, their size that will no longer suffer archiving and encryption are adding to infernal numbers for the bandwidth and the overall backbone of the World Wide Web.

Nevertheless, there are many videos that deserve to be
up there for everybody to see and laugh at. Yes, that’s the category I’ll be addressing today, entertainment. Some of the best received clips are about somebody naming herself Obama girl, another about a crazed Britney fan (you just knew it) and the third about a herd of buffaloes attacking a pride of lions. The last one is very interesting to watch, but it’s about violence and I’m not a big fan of it.

The other two, however, are fodder for any media cannon that might be brought up front. The Obama Girl video portrays a young singer that has the presidential candidate at heart and "battles" another singer dubbing herself Giuliani Girl. The song is catchy and the ladies are fine, break out the wine and start talking politics after watching it. Just don’t become violent, as many resort to it when the discussion is had.

Chris Crocker a.k.a. the Queen of Ghetto (he is a male… well… not adult) has posted a video response to the press critiques of Britney Spears performance at MTV’s VMA. It’s filled with heart and soul, filled with tears and pleads. I’ll embed a not so dramatic variant to it, just for your personal amusement. The Alvin the Chipmunk voice does wonders, I'll have you know so you should really watch it, it’s rich. It’s also the fourth most commented on video in YouTube’s history and the one that made Crocker an instant YouTube star.

YouTube Sending Out Spam!

Written by IT News on 2:15 AM

Now, that’s pretty bad! A group of researchers has disclosed the fact that YouTube servers have been used to send spam. Of course, this has nothing to do with the company. Spammers have tapped into YouTube and are now having their way with the servers, sending out huge quantities of unwanted
messages!

Now, we get spam daily, and to be honest, it’s quite annoying, regardless of who is sending it. According to the Marshal Trace team (the ones who have discovered this), all the messages come from "service [at] youtube [dot] com". This means that people will pay more attention to spam, open it and perhaps even believe what those crooks have to say! I for one would surely open a message that comes from YouTube, because they’re known for being serious an honest. And they (YouTube) continue to be, it’s just that spammers are exploiting the great image they have on the market just to make their spamming activity more efficient!

"YouTube users have a facility where they can invite their friends to view videos that they are looking at or have posted. This effectively allows them to email to any address from their YouTube account. This is the functionality that the spammers are exploiting", says Bradley Anstis, Marshal’s Director of Product Management.

"Spammers are doing this to defeat spam filters and to lower the recipient’s guard by making it look as though the messages are coming from a perfectly innocuous email address. YouTube’s own Help Centre suggests that you exclude the service [at] youtube [dot] com email address from spam filtering. The spammers are keenly aware of this" Anstis added.

So, bottom line: spammers are exploiting YouTube to send out spam, therefore you are advised to ignore such unwanted messages.
