Acer's AMD Tigris-based Aspire 5542

While most PC vendors working arrangements with their new servers with Intel's newest platforms, Acer, one of the top three PC vendors in the world, plans to roll out two new laptops that will take the Tigris latest AMD platform, so customers can choose between an AMD-powered notebook PC. Boasting the screen size of 17.3-inch and 15.6-inch or the Aspire 7540 and Aspire 5542, is expected to debut around the time of the next generation of Microsoft operating system Windows 7
started.

The two notebooks, consumers have an entire notebook experience, given the built-in hardware and image formats. Available specifications, the two both come equipped with Intel Core II processors, combined with up to 4GB of DDR2 memory and 640GB high-capacity 2.5-inch hard drive. Part of the new Vision AMD's marketing plan, will both be equipped with AMD's Radeon integrated graphics. For those who want to increase performance, it is an option for a discrete ATI Radeon 4570 graphics processor with 512MB of dedicated memory, ready for an amazing visual experience on the LED-backlit displays to provide.

Unfortunately, unlike some of the most popular systems of today, these two are not exactly designed for portability. The system weighs in at 3.26kg and 2.8 kg, with a battery that is said to deliver just 2.5 hours of driving time. On the other hand, the two machines give users the opportunity to choose a 1366 x 768 pixels or 1600 x 900 pixels.

The upcoming Aspire notebooks is expected to debut in time for the launch of Microsoft's Windows 7, the operating system is activated in two versions. Price-wise, expect the two to be available for £ 499.99, with a dedicated graphics processor, while a price tag of £ 449.99 will be available for a configuration with an integrated GPU.
