ASUS officially debuts the Sabertooth 55i motherboard
Following a report earlier this week, ASUS, one of the world's largest suppliers of high performance motherboards, just announced the official launch of its new high-end P55-based motherboard, the Saber Tooth 55i, a part of the new company developed the "TUF" ( The Ultimate Force) series of motherboards. The Taiwanese manufacturer has designed a new range of choice for advanced users who are looking for a solid motherboard with advanced components. In addition, the Board is structured around the company Marine Cool concept, earlier this year that the ASUS at CeBIT.

Built around Intel Socket LGA1156, that the new government supports the latest Pentium Core i7 processors and I5, so that users with a choice of a high-performance or a natural platform. The Saber Tooth 55i is designed with four DDR3 2000MHz DIMM memory, which can hold up to 16GB memory. Additional features include two PCI Express 2.0 x16 slots with support for both NVIDIA SLI and ATI CrossFire multi-GPU technology. There are also three PCI Express 2.0 x1 and two PCI ports, six SATA ports with Intel's P55 chipset, two SATA ports are accessible via the JMicron JMB322, while another JMicron controller provides an external SATA port.

Among some of the unique features that are enabled on this board, specially designed to boost performance over similar offerings, the company stresses that using a unique Ceram! X Microfin coatings, "in the heat sink of the Board and designed to provide stability in difficult operating conditions. In addition, the Saber Tooth 55i with a direct memory cooling solution, called CoolMem!. This allows the end user to install a 40mm or 50mm fan blows air directly onto the memory modules.

The Saber Tooth 55i also has a military-certified capacitors and transistors, and ASUS 'ESP (Efficient Power Switching) technology, both of which are designed to increase stability and improve performance for the latest P55 ASUS motherboards do.
