Pricing and system requirements of AMD's Radeon HD 5770 and HD 5750 revealed

Getting closer to the official debut of the next generation of AMD graphics cards, the highly anticipated HD-5xxx series, the Internet seems to be full of rumors about the upcoming new maps. Much has been written so far on the fast-to-be-released HD 5870 and HD 5850, but now that the focus of the rumor spreaders is shifted to a couple of other Radeon cards, the usual HD 57xx series. These cards are due in October, according to the latest information, and should provide a more affordable alternative to the company HD 58xx series.

The fellows over at VR-Zone has been fortunate to learn more about these cards, including the list of recommended system requirements. The list is intended to inform users of the necessary components needed for them to fully benefit from the technical specifications and features of these cards. The list is as follows:

PCI Express-based PC with an x16 lane graphics slot on the motherboard;

Or more 450 watt power supply with a 75W 6-pin PCI Express power connectors recommended (600 Watt and two 6-pin connectors for ATI CrossFireX technology in dual mode);

Certified power supplies are recommended. See http://ati.amd.com/certifiedPSU for a list of certified products;

At least 1 GB of system memory;

Installation software requires CD-ROM drive;

DVD playback requires DVD drive;

Blu-ray playback requires Blu-ray drive;

For an ATI CrossFire system, half the ATI Radeon HD 5770/5750 graphics card, an ATI CrossFireX Ready motherboard and one ATI CrossFire Bridge Interconnect cable per graphics card (included) are required.

Both cards are expected to be available with a dual-slot design and in price from an MSRP of U.S. $ 149 to U.S. $ 199th
