Galaxy preps GeForce GTX 260+ graphics card with single-slot cooler

While most fans are likely to wait for NVIDIA Santa Clara, California-based chip maker officially launch its line of next-generation desktop graphics card, part of the management of the business partners will continue to launch new designs based on the current generation of graphics processors. This is the case with the Galaxy Microsystems, which is expected to implement a new GT200 model, which combines NVIDIA GTX 260 GPU with a single spot cooling solution in a custom video card which should give desktop PCs
Users can take advantage of high-performance specifications for the GPU, in a smaller package.

Although no information was available on pricing and availability of the new card, the only place GeForce GTX 260 looks really good, according to some leaked images and specifications have recently appeared on the Internet. Unfortunately, the technical specifications rather sketchy right now, but the card must be designed in a 55nm GT200b graphics processors, with 216 processor cores, 896MB GDDR3 memory, a technology-enabled Vapor chamber heat sink and two 6 - pin PCI-Express connectors, which can be observed in the available images.

The upcoming GTX 260 + could boast DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort interfaces, while the clock speeds are likely to continue at their reference levels. The card could have a GPU speed of 625MHz, 1350MHz for shaders and 2000MHz on the memory, which should give some of the latest game titles at decent frame rates to play.

Galaxy next card will also provide its users support for some of NVIDIA's well-known technologies including PhysX, CUDA, and SLI. This allows the user to take advantage of a superior gaming experience, compared with the range of AMD's Radeon graphics processors.
